The mission of the Chattooga County Extension Office is to extend lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families.
Initiatives
Chattooga County Extension links the resources of the University of Georgia, Fort Valley State University, and Chattooga County to provide educational programs, information, and assistance to the people of Chattooga County. Chattooga County Extension addresses citizens needs by focusing on the following initiatives:
- 4-H Youth Development Program
- Agricultural Services - Soil Test, Water Test, etc.
- Agriculture and Natural Resources
- Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP)
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- Service Learning and Citizenship
