The Chattooga Public Library is a branch of the Sara Hightower Regional Library System, merging in November 2020. The Chattooga Library consists of a wide variety of print titles for all ages, public computers for use in-house and for checkout, a Makerspace and S.M.A.R.T (Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Technology) Room, and a Georgia History Room. The library offers many services including printing/copies/fax, Chromebooks & Hotspot devices, and onsite year-round programs for all age groups.

The Chattooga Library is part of the state-wide PINES system. With a PINES library card, patrons can put books on hold from other systems and they will be delivered to the Chattooga Library as soon as possible. Library cards are free to all residents of Georgia. If you live, go to school, or own property in Georgia, you can apply to receive a FREE PINES card. PINES cards will work at hundreds of libraries throughout Georgia, allowing users to check out items from one library and return them to any other.

Visit the SHRLS website for more information on each of the library branches, the services & resources that are available, and to view the library program and events calendar.
