Chattooga County Schools

Chattooga County Schools' Mission is to enable all students to become productive, contributing citizens who can communicate effectively, gather and use information, make responsible decisions, utilize technology, and adapt to the challenges of the future.

The Chattooga County School System is the county public school system for Chattooga County. The system is headed by Superintendent Jim Lenderman and the Chattooga County School Board. The system consists of four elementary schools, one independent middle school, two middle schools that are combined with elementary schools, and one high school. The four elementary schools include Lyerly School, Menlo School, Summerville Elementary School, and Leroy Massey Elementary School. The three middle schools consist of Lyerly School, Menlo School, and Summerville Middle School. The three branches of the county schools combine to make one Chattooga High School.
